The restaurant draws heavy inspiration from the art style of the Aztec empire and represents the resilience of Mexicans in the face of hardship. 

The term “Xolecito” comes from the word “Sol” and “ito.” However, when putting these two words together, the direct translation means “lonely” or “solito.” For this reason, the extra “ec” is added in the name. Pronounced “sol-eh-sito,” the name stands for “small sun” or “tiny sun.”
